Python client source

The hand-written Python client is internal-only and unpublished. It remains in
the repository for a residual internal consumer and is not a public SDK product.

External applications should integrate through the supported
REST/OpenAPI contract. See the
authoritative client support matrix for lifecycle definitions and the
mrl guide for the supported testing and operator client.
